Petitons in motion for animal rights

Animal rights activists have drafted a petition for a proposed Ohio constitutional amendment for November’s election.  The state attorney general’s office is currently reviewing petition language. The Humane Society of the United States and other animal rights activists have joined forces as Ohioans for Humane Farms to create the petition.

The proposed constitutional amendment would enforce four animal care standards on the recently approved Ohio Livestock Care Standards Board.
